Betts Tyzac Series Cast Net

Cast netting is one of the oldest methods of fishing, shrimping or catching bait. When selecting a net you should determine to use:

• What do I want to catch (Size of mesh and net)
• How deep is the water (Weight of net)
• The length of net (Radius) is related to water deptch, kind of bait/shrimp, and speed of bait

For Bait Size:

• 1" to 2" use 1/4" mesh
• 2" to 5" use 3/8" mesh
• 5" to 12" use 1/2" mesh
• 6" to 10" use 5/8" mesh
• 8" to 12" use 3/4" or 1" mesh

Water Depth:

• Shallow 2-5' use Betts Tyzac Series Net
• Medium 2-8' use Betts Hi Tider Series Net
• Deep 2-10' use Betts Old Salt Net
